about

The townspeople thought the three sisters were the cause of it all. After all, it wasn't until the sisters lost their mother to consumption and were forced to come to town themselves for barder that the evil started happening. The missing children, the dead livestock, and above all... the bad harvest. Fear does bad things to people. It brings out the evil in them. They hunted the sisters down one by one not even stopping to think about what it was doing to the siblings.. The sisters were the victims. Little did they know that they were creating what they most feared. No one suspected the forth sister. She was too young and innocent. What they did not know was that each time they took an innocent life, each time they murdered in cold blood and called it justice, the youngest one... the forgotten one called upon the woods for strength. With each death came a ritual. With each ritual the trees would give strength and bring her sisters spirits to help her. After each ritual the forgotten sister would dance with her sisters spirit and bring true justice closer to the townspeople until the last death ritual dance brought justice raining down upon them!

Many Years after the trees took the townspeople a new town was built on the land just west of the old village. The family that bought the land and set up the town built there mansion deep in the woods east of town. What happened in that mansion is a story for another time but the legends that take place in the woods just east of town were passed along in hushed tones as if just speaking about the forgotten sister would bring her wraith on the speaker. Stories of faces in trees, of lost time, of voices... and screams... and hysterical laughter coming from the woods. The one through line in all of the stories though was that if you got lost in her woods you would become one of her soul trees and your heart would ripen as fruit for her to eat... and she always has a good harvest.
